Submission rights

  • By submitting a photo, you confirm it's yours — or that you have the right to submit it on someone else's behalf.
  • You grant Catstac a non-exclusive license to display the photo on the site and on Catstac's Instagram account, with credit where you've given us your handle.
  • Want a submission removed? Email us at info@catstac.com and we will take it down.

What's allowed

  • One cat per photo.
  • No humans visible — face, hand, body, silhouette, anything. Keep the focus on the cat.
  • No AI-generated images. Real cats only.
  • Submissions that don't meet these requirements may be removed without notice.

Voting

  • One free vote per person per day.
  • Additional votes are available for purchase. Purchased votes never expire.
  • Catstac reserves the right to disqualify votes that look fraudulent or coordinated. The Catstac is for the cats, not the bots.

Winners

  • The cat with the most votes at 11:59:59pm Pacific time each day is declared Cat of the Day.
  • In the event of a tie, every tied cat shares the title — they are all Cat of the Day for that day.
  • Catstac's determination of the daily winner is final.

Prize

  • A winner notification email is sent to the submitter.
  • No monetary prize is awarded. The honor is its own reward.

Privacy

  • Submitted email addresses are used only to send winner notifications. We do not share them with third parties. We do not even know any third parties.
  • Instagram handles are displayed publicly on winner posts when provided.
  • See your data in our system or want it removed? Email info@catstac.com.

Changes

  • These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here and on the submit form.
  • Continuing to use Catstac after a change means you accept the updated terms.
